Personalized Service at Neighhourhood Auto Plus

Neighbourhood Auto Plus, truly a family business, has been part of the London community since 1979. Owners Michelle and Anthony Gentile purchased the shop on Aldersbrook Road in 2022, where they work side by side with two of their three sons. “My youngest is in Grade 2, and when he comes in after school, he jokes that he’s the boss. But when we are at the shop, it’s all business. Whether it’s a son or another employee on site, everyone is treated equally, including customers,” Anthony says.

Neighbourhood Auto Plus receives great reviews, and its customer base continues to grow. Anthony says that ensuring every client is happy when they walk out the door is fundamental to the business. “Our word is number one. We take care of everyone, and if we say we’re going to do something, we do it. We make sure things are right by the customer.”

Noting that women make up a good portion of their clientele, the auto shop recently held its first Women & Wheels car care clinic, which included basic vehicle maintenance and safety tips. “More women than men come through the doors. We personalized the clinic experience for them, but next time we will probably open it up to everyone. We want to welcome customers from all walks of life.”

Our word is number one. We take care of everyone and if we say we’re going to do something, we do it. We make sure things are right by the customer.

Drive in or make an appointment. There are free courtesy cars available and WiFi in the comfy waiting area.

Owners Michelle and Anthony Gentile work side by side with two of their three sons to ensure the best in customer service.

The Gentile family likes to emphasize the “neighbourhood” in their business name. “Someone will walk in and see another customer that they know. I see that all the time. In some cases, grandparents are clients, parents and now that the kids are driving, they are coming here, too,” says Anthony.

At this time of year, he says it’s important to do some basic maintenance before hitting the highway for a summer road trip. He recommends ensuring your air conditioning is working properly, having coolant levels checked and testing the battery. The summer heat can also damage the battery, and people don’t think about that. Also check tire pressure (overinflated is a problem) and tire alignment, he says. “If the alignment is off, a road trip to Florida and back will cost you a set of tires.”
