Maybe you first learned about primary colours in kindergarten, perhaps while fingerpainting, but understanding the science of subtractive colour theory is complicated. Shades and mixtures of red, blue and yellow are the building blocks of the rainbow, and they blend into the amazing variety of hues and colours we see in a day.
