Just a short drive from the sparkling Country Playhouse is a must on any summer theatre bucket list. Joining the Drayton Entertainment family in 2001, the two theatres on the property — the Mainstage and South Huron Stage — boast a combined seating capacity of over 900. With the 2026 Season set to take the stage this June, the Playhouse once again invites audiences to experience a dynamic summer of storytelling filled with music, laughter, suspense, and heart.
“Our 2026 Season spans genres, emotions and generations, but at its core, it’s about what unites us: the need to laugh, feel, dream, and share the experience,” says David Connolly, Artistic Director of Drayton Entertainment.
Opening the Mainstage is 42nd Street, a dazzling Broadway classic filled with tap numbers, backstage drama, romance, and comedy, running from June 10 to June 27. Next, The Full Monty brings a heartfelt and hilarious story of unemployed steel workers turned amateur performers, from July 2 to July 25. The final Mainstage production will be Disney’s Frozen. The magic, music and spectacle of the hit movie will be brought to the stage, with thrilling surprises along the way, running August 5 to August 30.
On the South Huron Stage, Snow White and the Seven Tenors kicks off the season June 10 to June 27, blending fairy-tale charm with pop hits, humour, and high-energy spectacle. Misery, based on the novel by Stephen King, delivers a chilling psychological thriller from July 2 to July 18. Nashville Music City follows, celebrating the evolution of country music through iconic artists and modern stars, July 23 to August 8. Closing the season is Over the River and Through the Woods, a heartfelt comedy about family, tradition, and generational bonds, from August 13 to August 30.
From spectacle to suspense, music to comedy, the lineup offers something for every theatregoer, inviting audiences to experience unforgettable moments live on stage. Whether discovering a new favourite or revisiting a beloved classic, the 2026 season promises laughter, emotion and inspiration. Experience a celebration of resilience, creativity and the power of theatre.
